Our mission is to assist men who are suffering from alcoholism, and who are willing to spend 10 days at the First Step House in beginning their recovery and
integration back into society.

Our Facilities

Charle Street
a 10-day social model recovery program that provides free room and board for up to twenty-one recovering alcoholics. Upon completion of a successful entrance
interview, all men are welcome as long as they are ready to meet certain requirements.

the Hamilton House
Affordable medium-term housing for up to twelve newly recovering alcoholics. It provides a sober, structured environment that assists men in building a firm foundation for their continued longterm sobriety and personal growth.

Simple Requirements
To be admitted to the First Step House, men must meet and adhere to the following simple requirements:
• Have a desire to stop drinking.
• Make a commitment to sobriety.
• Make a commitment to a 10-day stay.
• Active in or willing to start a 12-Step program.
• Have or be willing to acquire a 12-Step sponsor.
• Read and agree to abide by the house rules.
